FRONTLINE INTENSIVE TRAUMA TREATMENT

FITT

FITT is a national network of EMDR therapists and law enforcement personnel, working together to prevent first responder suicides by offering mental health outreach and intensive trauma treatment.

FITT therapists adhere to the highest standards of training and ongoing professional development.  All network therapists have solid experience in EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy –  and continuously build cultural competency to deliver treatment to law enforcement and related professions.  FITT therapists adhere to the “client-centered intensive” model – a trauma-focused intensive model developed by FITT Clinical Lead team with guidance from EMDR and law enforcement experts, to ensure ethical delivery of safe and effective therapy.

FITT Law Enforcement Liaisons are active duty law enforcement officers working within and outside of their agencies to support their peers, to challenge mental health stigma, and to inform and guide our clinical team.  As each region and law enforcement agency culture is unique, FITT’s Law Enforcement Liaisons are vital to our program providing outreach and services tailored to each region’s needs.

FITT Fund Partners are large and small nonprofit agencies dedicated to helping the frontline workers who serve and protect our communities. Funding trauma treatment allows law enforcement professionals to have complete confidentiality when seeking treatment.  Funding also accesses the nation’s most competent and experienced clinicians to provide services tailored to each client’s individual needs.
